Esky Lama V4 Upgrade

I called Mike Jr. at KA and asked about the out of stock parts cause I needed some spindle shafts and they were out of stock too. He said that since all parts have to come from overseas manufacturer they wait till they are low on helicopter stock, then place one large order for the helis and the parts at the same time. He said they recently placed an order and it should be here soon, so you can probably check back to see if it is back in stock soon.

I talked to Mike and they are coming in next week he says, if not I found another supplier for about 12 a belt. Does anyone have a set up for this heli on a DX-7 Throttle and pitch curves etc? I am a heli noob and noone within 200 miles of me flys… So I am on my own…
Thanks for any help you can give.

Mike jr, do you think bh 500 ep mixing setting Or radio settings from that 2.4 that you bundle works on my bh 500 se pro? I wanna try the settings on my dx6i because it hover almost full trouttle. on my gp bh.I use both heli, my black hawk 500 ep is stock, so i’m using stock battery, and my nitro I am not flying it because well i took out landing gear off for my ep since i crash my ep. But ep is now flying off parts of my bh until I get money. Motor I fit in a 18 vx, but didn’t use the carb, it wont fit under battery tray, but I installed the original 15 size engine carb to my vx motor. Anyways I broke the carb control horn. So I need a new carb but I’m going to just order a new engine from mike pretty soon and just stay with it. Since its only 55 dollars. Anyways Happy flying guys!

Hey guys i have a futaba 7cap transmitter that i use to fly all my airplanes. I have set everything up on it for my helicopter through my manuel. I have 1 question though in the instruction manuel of my heli it shows where to set the gyro up. Well i dont have a gyro option on my transmitter. But i have everything else except for that. Also if u look the instructions it shows a 7CHP radio and i have a 7CAP. So will this radio still work ok? Also my heli is a kinetic 50 and i will be using the 401 gyro and 9254 tail servo. So will i be able to just set the gyro up from itself or do i need the other radio to do it from that? Please help thanks.

Not sure about the 7cap, the gy401 needs to be set up from the radio. I looked it up and it looks like Futaba uses the same manual for all their 7C radios so you should have the same programming for them all. Make sure that you’ve assigned the channel to gyro correctly. I looked once again and my radio does n ot have a gyro option. So now im just going to buy a used transmitter, im going to try to get a 9C. If anybody has the the transmitter for sale, let me know. You don’t really need the 9C to get the gyro working. The 7CA may not have the special display relating to gyro that the 7CH has, but you don’t really need that. Save yourself some money. All you need to do is assign a switch to channel 5 and set the endpoints so that you get the sensitivity for the modes that you want.

I’m going by memory so forgive me if I’m backwards about this, but for example, the way the 401 works is that a signal in the range of 0% to less than 50% is NORMAL mode and a signal in the range of more than 50% to 100% is heading hold (flip that around if I’m backwards), and the sensitivity is controlled by how far away from 50% - the midpoint - you are. The farther from 50% the greater the sensitivity. So for example, if a endpoint is set at 10% that’s 80% away from the midpoint in the normal mode direction so you would have 80% NORMAL mode sensitivity. Or if you set a endpoint at 90% then that’s 80% away from the midpoint in the HH mode direction so you have 80% HH sensitivity. The optional method of viewing this information in the CH type Tx might be nice but I don’t think it’s worth any extra money. It certainly doesn’t keep you from getting in the air.
